Banner Ads And Notices -- Theory06/19/2004I've often heard it said that banner ads are ineffective on Web pages. It's probably true, but then any misconceived ad will be ineffective and most banner ads don't stand a chance because the people that produced them don't know the difference between a 'notice' and an advertisement.

Quantity Before  Quality06/19/2004I don't know if you have ever been a member of some "MLM" company? That is "multi level marketing" company, such as Amway and many thousands of others. I have been in many, had some success, but never stayed in any for very long. Have you not heard this before: "This one is different!"
Situational Ethics06/19/2004One of the problems of the moral code suggested on this page is that it depends on ONE single criteria for what is "moral."  That criteria is "love," but unfortunately, the word "love" has as many different meanings as there are people using it."
