New Yorkers March For Gay Marriage Rights

(New York City) More than 2,000 New Yorkers staged a protest march across the Brooklyn Bridge Sunday to demand the right for same-sex couples to marry in the Empire State.

Many of the marchers wore signs on their backs bearing numbers representing each of the 1,838 state and federal rights denied to gay couples unable to marry. Others were dressed in wedding garb.

Contrasting View On Gay Marriage

The word "family" is generally reserved for that "group" which has the obligation of the race to create children, the word "marriage" has been defined even more strictly as that "legal agreement" much like a "partnership agreement" that society recognizes as an agreement which has special importance in assuring the future existence of the race -- or the society.

In these times of growing freedom, with women getting the vote not too long ago here, and not yet in many lands, the further freedom of choice of private relationship has come to its time.  Gay marriage is just as sacred, as evidenced by many churches and reverends, as traditional marriage. 

Whether they realize it or not gays have contributed to the moral morass in society.  While the urge to have "same gender sex" may or may not be a "medical" matter, it is definitely a matter of morals, and society cannot throw away the safeguards to the "family" or the future of the race to satisfy such sexual urges.

I don't care for either of the above two choices -- they are too extreme. I do not Wish To Vote on them, but am willing to give my opinion on this issue below.
