Do you think the Sedition Act should be re-enacted, in view of the dramatic change in the political climate -- with politicians calling the Commander In Chief a liar, traitor, etc., or is Freedom Of Speech the Trump Card?

In the old days politics did, indeed, stop at the water's edge.  The world today, however, is a global village with practically no distinction between internal and external policies -- involving both the economy, foreign affairs, military operations and other major areas.  We must maintain our democracy, as discordant that may seem, by allowing and encouraging political debate and free speech on every subject of vital importance to our security and freedom.

In today's international war on terrorism "intelligence" is the vital ingredient by which we can defend our security.  It is both impossible and impractical to "debate" foreign policy which is often based on secret intelligence and even secret diplomacy.  No rightfully aggressive candidate for the presidency can have access to the intelligence and private diplomacy that has been and is being currently used by the Commander In Chief who is currently responsible.

I don't care for either of the above two choices -- they are too extreme. I do not Wish To Vote on them, but am willing to give my opinion on this issue below.
